South Plains overtook the Cougars on the 4x400m relay to take the third place trophy with 98 points.

Hayde's leap in Friday's long jump was the second time to the sand pit on the day as two hours prior the sophomore captured the national pentathlon title earning 3474 points for the program's eighth best total. Hayde placed fourth in 60m Hurdles, third in the high jump and shot put, won the long jump on a 5.70m (18-08.50) leap, then secured her multi-event title with a personal best 800m time of 2:38.46.
