The Barton Community College tennis squads severed up a pair of sweeps to kick off their home portion of the schedule Thursday afternoon earning 9-0 victories over Tabor College.

The 11th ranked Cougar women improve their mark to 2-2 on the young season, while the 10th ranked Cougar men leap to 2-1 overall. The Barton tennis teams will return to the courts on Saturday March 7th against Iowa Central Community College.

On the women's side nationally ranked individuals Mariane Lima and Claudia Sumaia paced the lineup leading the Lady Cougars to five two set victories following a clean doubles sweep.

Eduardo Morais, James Kaoma, Arthur Angles, and Tom Letecheur channeled the Cougar men earning victories in two sets while Smrakshyak Bajracharya and Victor Pestana recorded third set wins sealing the clean sheet triumph.
