Barton attacked the Hawks with twenty-one shots with the crushing blow coming with 24:03 on the clock. With the Hawks unable to clear the box, Rachel Craft's deflected attempt on frame found the foot of defender Hannah Knaak who then split three defenders going cross net for the winner and the Rose Hill product's first collegiate goal.
The defensive flank of Knaak, Adriana Reyes, Kayla Metheny, Kassandra Herrera, and goalkeeper Alexandra Capalbo kept the sheet clean from three on frame including Capalbo's rejection of a point blank shot in the box less than three minutes following Knaak's game winner.
