Lady Cougar soccer records second straight road shutout with 1-0 win at Cloud County

The Barton Community College women's soccer team posted its second consecutive road shutout by defeating Cloud County Community College 1-0 Thursday afternoon in Concordia.   Scoreless in the first half of play, Barton scored with 34:59 to play in the contest as Aliya Marshall found the back of the net courtesy of a Bianca Barron pass.  The No. 16 NSCAA ranked Lady Cougars improve to 3-0 in conference play and 3-2 overall while keeping Cloud County winless in conference at 0-2 and dropping the T-Birds to 1-2 overall.  Barton will put to test their modest road winning streak on Sunday as the Lady Cougars travel to Kansas City Kansas Community College for a 1:00 p.m. contest.

Other Notes:
- Despite two wins last week, including a 2-0 road shutout victory, Barton dropped from No. 15 to No. 16 in the latest NSCAA poll released Tuesday.
