No. 17 Lady Cougar Soccer season ends in Region VI semis

the Barton Community College women's soccer team's season came to an end 3-1 to No. 7 Hutchinson Community College Saturday in Topeka in the Region VI semifinals.  Barton ends its season at 15-4-1 while Hutch 16-1 advances to championship game against Butler.  Butler beat Johnson 2-1 on a late (less than 2 min) goal.

Hetherington put Hutch back ahead 8:15 into the second half finishing off a Courtney Gahagen pass.  Hetherington put the Cougars away with 6:24 remaining in the contest scoring off a Sheehy pass.

Sidenotes:
Bianca Barron finished with 31 goals - ranking her 2nd best in a season and third in scoring (71) for a season.

The Cougars battled injuries throughout the contest and had three starters out of the contest by the time the game ended.
