The 4th ranked Barton Community College women's golf team led wire-to-wire in capturing their fourth consecutive tournament of the fall season in a 98 stroke victory in the Sterling College Fall Halloween Shootout held at Hutchinson's Carey Park Golf Course.
Four Cougars were amongst the top five on the leaderboard helping Barton shoot rounds of 317 and 321 to conclude the Shootout at 62-over 638. York College placed second at 736 while a second squad of Cougars placed third at 777.
Mutita Booranakunamanee won her second event of the fall season with 75 and 73 rounds in finishing at 4-over to edge teammate Vilma Efraimsson who compiled 77 and 73 rounds for a 6-over 150.
Getsemani Carlos Lopez began day two in third after an opening 81 but slipped down a spot on the final leaderboard to 4th with an 88 on the card to finish at 25-over 169. One spot behind was Ady Crough with 84 and 87 rounds for a 27-over 171.
Madison Peters rounded out the team bouncing back from an opening 95 in carding an 88 to place 8th at 39-over 183 while Anna Hislop led the second wave of Cougars with a 9th place 40-over 184 with 94 and 90 rounds on the card.
Barton's next competitive time on the course will come next spring.
