Bridges and Heidenreich claim double's title as Barton Women's Bowling opens the season against Ottawa University #GoBarton

The Barton Community College women's bowling team opened the 2022-23 campaign Wednesday afternoon with a quick turn-up against four-year program Ottawa University.

Competing against the Braves in three doubles, three singles and five baker games, the Lady Cougars fell by just 14 pins as Ottawa tipped over 6,773 to Barton's 6,759 output.

Bowler's Allyson Heidenreich and Jasmine Bridges doubles champions Placing one in both doubles and singles, it was the duo play of Jasmine Bridges and Allyson Heidenreich clinching the top doubles score of 1,125 pins edging out the Braves Becca Loker and Holly Bridges 563 output. 

In singles action, Bridges continued her solid collegiate debut for Barton earning the lone individual award with a third place 561 pin count falling two back of runner-up Becca Loker's 563 and 39 back of Ottawa's Bridges top mark of 600.

The Cougars will have a quick turnaround traveling down to Dallas, Texas this weekend for a pair of tier-1 tournaments in the SWIBC-I and SWIBC-II held on Saturday and Sunday at the USA Super Bowl.
