Barton Bowling earns pair of 5th place finishes at Bronco Blast IIV #GoBarton

Hitting the lanes for the first time in nearly a month, the inaugural season for the Barton Community bowling programs continued Saturday at the Bronco Blast IIV in Hasting, NE. The Cougar men and Lady Cougars each rolled to a fifth place finish in the 36-baker games.

On the men's side Barton tallied a total of 6475 pins falling just 167 shy of Nebraska University and 140 pins better than sixth place NJCAA foe Iowa Western Community College. Host Hastings College took home the title collecting 7307 pins in the ten team field.

The Lady Cougars rolled a fifth best score of 5862 outlasting Wayne State College's 4846, while falling 140 shy of fourth place Iowa Western Community College. Kansas Wesleyan University claimed the team title outlasting the six team field recording 6588 pins.

Barton will begin their month long preparation for the NJCAA Bowling Championships held March 5th-8th at Airport Lanes in Cheektowaga, NY.
