Barton's Ulabo earns conference player of the week award #GoBarton

Barton women's basketball player Queen Ulabo goes up for a jump shot

Queen Ulabo of the Barton Community College women's basketball team has been named the KJCCC Division I Women's Player of the Week.

Ulabo produced big for the Cougars as Barton went 2-1 this past week. Scoring seventeen points in fifteen minutes to begin the three game home stretch, Ulabo posted consecutive double-double performances including a career high 13 rebound effort on Friday before a career high 23 points on Saturday to average 20 points and 9 rebounds for the three games.

The award is the second consecutive weekly award garnered by the Cougars as Richelle Turney earned the distinction last week.

Currently 4-3 on the season, Ulabo and the Cougars begin a two game road swing before opening up conference play at home November 30th. The Cougars play tonight at 6:00 p.m. at Iowa Western Community College with a Friday date in El Reno, Oklahoma, taking on Redlands Community College.
