Barton women take care of Colby for season sweep
The Barton Community College women’s basketball team controlled the middle portion of Wednesday’s conference matchup at Colby Community College picking up a 76-55 victory. Outscoring the Lady Trojans by a combined twenty-five points in the second and third periods, Barton won their sixth straight over Colby and third straight in the Community Building. The Lady Cougars upped their Jayhawk mark to 6-10 and 14-13 on the season while Colby remains winless in the conference dropping to 0-15 and 4-22 on the season suffering their seventeenth straight loss. Another road trip lines the schedule as Barton will travel to Liberal for a 6:00 p.m. Saturday evening contest at Seward county Community College before its home finale on Wednesday, February 17.
