Cougar women ink San Diego State transfer
Amber Fouse is the newest member of the Barton County Community College women’s basketball incoming class that looks to the best recruiting class the past few years for the Cougars. Fouse comes in from San Diego State University, where she started in 11 of the team’s 27 games last season.

Claflin’s Jeffrey inks to play for Barton County
The Barton County Community College women’s basketball team kept things close to home with the signing of Amber Jeffrey from Claflin High School. Jeffrey joins a growing list of players from the Barton County school to move on and play basketball for the Cougar women.

Cougar women sign All-State player from Oklahoma
The Barton County Community College women’s basketball team snagged another 1st team All State selection, this time from Oklahoma. Barton signed Rebecca Chapman to a letter-of-intent to play next season. Chapman was a 1st Team All State selection in Oklahoma for Navajo High School in Altus.

Cougar women ink Florida basketball standout
Barton County women’s basketball coach Don Kayser snagged a “big-time” recruit from the state of Florida as the Cougars work towards regaining their place among the elite in the Jayhawk West. The Cougars signed a 1st team All State product from Florida in 6-2 center Chelsia James. James is the younger sister of Ariel James, who played for the Cougars this past season.

Bloomfield signs to play for Barton County
Carly Bloomfield will continue her basketball career next season as a member of the Barton County Community College women's basketball team. The 5-9 senior from Clifton-Clyde High School signed a letter-of-intent to play for the Cougars last week on the first day of the Spring signing period for colleges.

The Barton County Community College women’s basketball team nearly pulled off another upset at home, but this time fell short of the No. 19 ranked Garden City Broncbusters. Barton just missed out on defeating the Jayhawk West leaders, losing 56-54 at the Barton County Gym.

The Barton County Community College women’s basketball team kept current a very long winning streak against Pratt as well as positioned themselves well for a playoff spot. Barton County won for the 44th consecutive time over Pratt, knocking off the Beavers on their home floor, 59-52.
