Carson DuBose is in her first season as assistant coach for the Barton Softball team. She comes to the Lady Cougars program from Northeastern State University a Division II school in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, where she served as a graduate assistant coach for two years from 2019-2020.

DuBose helped guide Northeastern State University to a fourth place finish in the rugged Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association (MIAA) in 2019 posting a 28-27 mark. In 2020, the Riverhawks were off to their best start in program history at 16-8 until the COVID-19 pandemic forced the cancellation of the remainder of the season.

Prior to the start of her collegiate coaching career, DuBose played two years at Northern Oklahoma – Tonkawa College earning Academic All-American honors her sophomore year. DuBose transferred to Rogers State University an NCAA Division II program in Claremore, Oklahoma where she concluded her playing career.

DuBose earned her bachelor’s degree in Biology from Rogers State University and master’s degree in Health & Kinesiology from Northeastern State University. She is a native of Owasso, OK.
