The Barton Community College sprang to life Saturday in Dodge City as the 8th seeded Cougars won three games in reaching the final three remaining teams of the Region VI Tournament.

The Cougars began the day in the tournament's first elimination game at 9:00 a.m. ending the season of Seward County 11-4.  Next on the list was Garden City in a mid-afternoon battle with Barton holding on for a 6-5 win.  Having been sent to the loser's bracket on Friday in a 5-2 loss to top seeded Colby, the Cougars got the ultimate revenge in the day's final game with a 7-2 victory over the Trojans capping the long day at the ballpark.

Barton returns to Legends Park Sunday morning in a 10:00 a.m. loser's bracket finale versus Hutchinson with the winner advancing to the noon championship game versus 3rd ranked Butler.
