Offensive woes plaque Cougar Softball in conference losses to Colby
Looking for their first conference win of the season the Barton Community College softball team struggled to string hits together in dropping a pair of conference games Monday to Colby Community College at Cougar Field. The Trojans won a pitcher’s duel 2-0 decision in game one, then used a three run third inning in game two to cruise to an 8-2 victory. Barton drops to 0-4 in conference play and 6-8 on the season while Colby earns their first victories of the conference season to improve to 2-4 and 7-11 overall. Barton will travel to Liberal on Saturday for a pair of conference games at Seward County Community. Game set for 2:00 p.m. at Lady Saints Field.
