Allen tabbed 1st team All Conference
Barton County Community College sophomore Brittany Allen was tabbed a 1st Team All Jayhawk West softball selection on the recent all conference team released. Allen was the only 1st team selection for the Cougars while Whitney Boeh, Alicia Salazar and Brooke Pearce were honorable mention picks. Allen and Pearce were also named 2nd team All Region VI.

Brittney Allen
Allen hit .393 for the Cougars this past season, belting 15 home runs and driving in 53 runs – all 2nd best on the team for Barton. She fielded .945 from her 3rd base spot and was also 2nd on the team with a .721 slugging percentage.

Alicia Salazar
Salazar also had double figure home runs for the Cougars – 1 of 4 different players to do so. Salazar ended the year with 12 homers and 52 RBI. She hit .377 on the season and led Barton with a .452 on base percentage.

Whitney Boeh
Boeh led the Cougars in home runs and RBI this season, posting huge power numbers for Barton. She belted 21 homers and drove in 58 in 62 games. Her 150 total bases as well as .773 slugging percentages were best on the team. Boeh finished the year hitting .361. She also led Barton with a 4.77 ERA on the mound and posted a team-high 9 wins and 109 innings pitched.

Brooke Pearce
Pearce hit .420 this season for the Cougars, leading Barton in that category. She had 58 hits for Barton with an on base percentage of .452. Pearce also pitched for the Cougars.
