Her junior season, Cruz went 22-3, giving her a combined record of 49-9 her final two season at Gregory-Portland. Just this past week, she was named the MVP of South Texas by the Corpus Christi Caller.

As a junior Cruz was named the Pitcher of the Year by the Caller, posting that 22-3 record with an impressive ERA of just 0.56. She threw 4 no-hitters among her 25 complete games, 13 of which were shutouts. Cruz walked just 22 batters in her 150 innings of work.
