The women took care of their two opponents a little earlier in the day with the Barton Community College men's team completing the Cougar Classic sweep Friday at the Shannon Schartz Tennis Complex at Veteran's Park, defeating Newman University 4-3 before blanking Tabor College 7-0.
Ranked 7th in the latest national poll, Barton improves to 5-2 on the year heading into Thursday's conference opener in traveling to 2nd ranked Cowley College for a 1:00 p.m. first serve.
