Two weeks after opening the season, the Barton Community College swimming programs had a successful weekend in Fremont, Nebraska claiming 20 of the 30 events against Midland University.

Although no scores were recorded as the meet was listed as a scrimmage for the home Warriors, the Lady Cougars claimed five of the 15 events while their counterparts the Barton men swam to golds in all 15 events.

William McCabe tallied a meet high three individual crowns besting the field in the 100-yard freestyle (48:59), 200-yard freestyle (1:47.21) and 200-yard IM (2:00.47).

A four pack of Cougars pocketed a pair of individual golds as Enzo Vogt da Silva claimed both long distance races in the 500-yard freestyle (4:54.21) and 1000-yard freestyle (10:29.71), Cooper Cole in the 100-yard backstroke (56.50) and 50-yard backstroke (25.59), Jethro Irvine in the 50-yard butterfly (23.90) and 100-yard butterfly (52.23) while Louis Milczynski collected his pair in the 50-yard freestyle (21.96) and 50-yard breaststroke (27.34).

Brody Feist rounded out the individual titles snatching the program's first ever diving gold in the 1-meter dive recording a score of 114.45.

The Cougars swept both relay titles with the top times in the 200-yard medley (1:38.25) and 400-yard freestyle (3:12.67).

Women Recap
Linda Franco led the Cougar women nabbing a pair of titles in the 50-yard butterfly (28.02) and 100-yard freestyle (55:62).

Barton's other trio of golds came from Silvana Jacquez Viveros 50-yard backstroke (29.34), Mikwena Lierman 50-yard freestyle (25.98) and Rachel Sims claiming the programs first ever gold in a diving event taking the 1-meter dive (161.85).

Dominique Cos led seven of the Cougars' runner-up finishes coming in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:11.28) and 200-yard IM (2:23.86).

Other silver placings, Jacquez 100-yard backstroke (1:03.05), Caroline Tipton 50-yard backstroke (31.82), Maria Orlandi Genizelli 50-yard breaststroke (39.28), Olivia Kerr 500-yard freestyle (5:37.21) and both relay events in the 200-yard medley (1:55.95) and 400-yard freestyle (3:48.73).

Barton's next action comes this weekend hosting their first of three meets on the season taking on Iowa Central Community College and Iowa Lakes Community College. Action is slated to get underway Saturday at 10:00 a.m. inside the Barton Swimming Pool.
