9th ranked Barton nets five first frame goals in 6-2 win at Bethel JV #GoBarton

The 9th ranked Barton Community College men's soccer team rode five opening half goals Friday evening earning a 6-2 road victory over the reserve squad of Bethel College.

Improving to 11-2 on the season, the Cougars will conclude a three game road trip Saturday evening at 13th ranked Coffeyville Community College in a 6:00 p.m. kickoff.

In a game that featured four collegiate first goals, Arthur Prado became the first of the achievements putting Barton out front 9:20 into the contest putting away Tom Villon's collegiate first assist.

The Cougars rattled the nets in a flurry in the half's final fifteen minutes, putting four on the board to gain separation.

Vinizzio Bortolotti accounted for the first two, setting up Francesco Boher' second goal of the season with his third assist of the season with 14:25 left in the half then 82 seconds later stole a Bethel pass to eventually ring up his first collegiate net shaker.

Julianno Navarro contributed to the surge with just under ten minutes before the break to chalk up his initial collegiate goal with Yuki Minari capping the scoring frenzy with his second of the season to record Genildo Postimo's second assist of the year.

Playing with a comfortable lead in the second half, Barton was not as sharp in the second frame as Bethel would mount a pair of goals coming at the 57th minute and again with just 4:30 to play.

In between the two Thrasher goals, Boher delivered his second of the game to give Lucas Vavassori a personal highlight day of posting his first collegiate assist.

Victor Goscinski worked the full ninety between the pipes in rejecting six Thrasher shots improving to 3-0 in goal on the season.
