The No. 15 ranked Barton Community College men's soccer team used a dominating first half Wednesday evening at Hesston College posting their fourth straight shutout in a 5-0 margin.

The Cougars jump to 2-0-0 in Jayhawk West play while improving to 5-0-1 on the season leaving the Larks to 0-2-0 in Jayhawk play and falling to 3-3-0 overall. Barton will return home to prepare for a highly anticipated Jayhawk West matchup coming up Saturday against Dodge City Community College in a 4:30 p.m. kick-off at the Cougar Soccer Complex.

Barton's leading goal scorer Gabrielle Privitera was the first to get the Cougars on the scoreboard netting home his fourth penalty kick and seventh goal of the season just fifty-five seconds into the match. Fifteen minutes later the KJCCC Player of the Week struck again collecting his second multi-goal game and eighth net rattler of the season giving Barton a 2-0 lead.

Midway through the first half Ebrahim Diagne and Tyrick Sutherland added onto the Cougars' lead with goals coming just two minutes apart capping a four goal first half.

Freshman Valdyslav Peretyatko put a damper to any Lark hope scoring six minutes into the second half rattling the nets for the third time this season.

Sophomore goalkeeper Samuel Chantre notched his first victory of the season denying both shots faced.
