The 17th ranked Barton Community College men's soccer team netted the game winner with XX left in double overtime Saturday to escape Garden City Community College's upset bid in a 2-1 come from behind victory.

The victory keeps Barton alone atop the Jayhawk West standings at 6-0-1 and 10-1-1 on the season while dropping Garden City to 3-4-0 and 6-5-0 overall. Barton's next action will come in a week as the Cougars travel to Hesston College next Saturday for a 7:00 p.m. kick-off.

Following a scoreless first half of action including a multitude of clutch saves by the Cougars' Felipe Baeza and Garden City's goalkeeper, the Broncbusters were finally able to crack the scoreboard at the 58th minute as Abdoulaye Agyen's perfectly placed a header rattled the net towards the back post.

It didn't take the Cougars long to get the equalizer as Chris Camilli's pass upfield to Mario Magana set up Damen Marcu for the 16' strike to the near post three minutes later.

Executed passing set up the game winner mid-way through the second extra time of action with Magana and Tevin Rochester finding Gabriel Arraes on the doorstep to hammer in his conference leading 13th goal of the year.

Baeza rejected six of his seven total saves in first half action improving to 7-0 on the season protecting the net.
