The Barton Community College men's soccer team joined fellow co-conference champion Coffeyville Community College as an upset victim in the Region VI semifinals Thursday at Topeka's Hummer Sports Complex. The Cougars gave up two first half while missing many opportunities as Cloud County Community College upset Barton 2-0. The loss ends Barton's season at 11-5-1 while Cloud County improves to 12-8-0 and advances to Friday's championship contest against Johnson County Community College.
Cloud County's Chris Lavery scored both of the T-birds first half goals, the first coming 11:29 into the contest and the second coming at 25:53. Barton leading scorer Ebu Camara was held to zero shots to finish one goal shy of the top spot in Barton career goals.
