The nationally ranked Barton Community College men's and women's golf teams battled the elements and the field in the fall season finale to sweep Monday's Barton Invitational held at Great Bend's Stoneridge County Club.

Led by the 3-under par 68 firing by Thitipong Homruen, the No. 15 ranked Cougars rolled in a combined 282 to increase the final margin to fourteen over Jayhawk foe Dodge City Community College.

Overall Barton placed six golfers in the top ten of the fifty man field being led by Kylian Cavdar's tie for the top spot. Cavdar's 74-72 rounds tied Dodge City's Daniel Taggart's identical round 146 total.

Three Cougars tied for the fourth spot as Homruen bounced back from his opening 80 score with the 68 to finish even with Kelby Titus and Adrien Bonnet at 148. Titus had rounds of 76 and 72 while Bonnet's opening 78 was eight strokes more than his final round 70 which matched the second lowest round of the afternoon.
