The Barton Community College men's golf team finished in fifth place at the KJCCC Championships held at Newton's Sand Creek Golf Course. The Cougars posted the fourth best final round score of 308 to finish ten strokes of fourth place. The placing coupled with the solid tournament by Kansas City Kansas Community College dropped Barton to the fifth spot in the season standings, the best since the 2011 season. Winfield freshman Landon Fox fired a team low 75 in the final round to place 12th to lead four Cougars in the top twenty-one of the individual. Barton will next compete at the Region VI and District III Championship April 28-29 at the Championship Course at Alvamar in Lawrence, Kansas.
