Hoover finishes 16th, Cougar golf struggles in second round of regular season finale

The Barton Community College men's golf team had a rough day at the links Monday finishing seventh at Conference Meet No. 5 held at Junction City's Rolling Meadows Golf Course.  After posting a sixth place 310 in the first eighteen holes, the Cougars scored 322 in the second round to tumble to seventh place at +56.  Despite the rough day, Barton remained in fourth place in the regular season conference standings.  Barton will next complete at the KJCCC Championships April 21-22 at Sand Creek Station Golf Course in Newton, Kansas.  

Kyle Hoover, competing as an individual entry, led the Barton golfers with 151 to finish tied for sixteenth place. Remaining in the top twenty in the season standings, Jeremie Eloy had a rough second round to finish tied at twenty-fourth with a 155.  Landon Fox fired consistent rounds to finish tied for twenty-eighth at 156 with Alex Hobelmann finishing tied for thirty-eighth with a 161.  Like Eloy, Bryer Livermore also struggled in the second eighteen to finish in 42nd with a 162 while Koby Beougher's 164 came in at 43rd place.
