Cougar golf battles the elements for seventh place finish, Eloy cracks top tenThe Barton Community College men's golf team began the 2012-13 season this past weekend finishing in seventh place in the Jayhawk Conference's first meet of the season at the Hesston Golf Course. The Cougar team of five freshmen finished with a team score of 642 for a combined seven-four over par and seven strokes out of fifth place. Barton will be back on the links September 23-24 for the Conference Meet No. 2 to be held at Auburn Hills Golf Course in Wichita. The Cougars will begin play at 8:00 a.m. on Sunday.
Jeremie Eloy finished in nineteenth place at twelve-over-par leading the Cougars with duplicate rounds 77 for a total of 154. Bryer Livermore finished thirty-third with rounds of 83 and 80.
