2019-20 National Collegiate Bowling Coaches Association (NCBCA) Scholar Awards

Seven members of the Barton Community College bowling program received national accolades as announced by the National Collegiate Bowling Coaches Association (NCBCA).

Three of the awards were earned on the women's side in Ashley Dykes, Alexandria Newell, and Faith Whited while four came from the men's squad in Benjamin Banks, Tracey Hill, Creyton Nisly, and Cort Schwerdtfeger.

In its first year of competition, Head Coach Mike Perry's women's squad finished national runner-up at the NJCAA Championships as the men placed 8th overall.

Newell's academic honor compliments a national championship on the lanes as the freshman became the program's first individual champion after claiming the singles competition at the NJCAA Championships.

1,030 student-athletes across all levels of collegiate competition earned academic Scholar Athlete status for the 2019-2020 season. For a complete list, visit the NCBCA Awards page.
