The Barton Community College men's basketball team led from start to finish Wednesday evening at the Barton Gym eclipsing the century mark for the second straight game in a 127-52 rout over the reserve squad of Bethel College.

The Cougars would ride an explosive 16-3 run in the opening five minutes and never let up accumulating a 42 point halftime lead that would later expand itself out to a 75 point margin.

Barton shot a blistering 65.9 percent from the field as seven players ended in double figures led by nonstarter Keandre Bowles game high eighteen, twelve of which coming in second half action. Freshman Justin Harmon dished out a team high eight assists going along with his sixteen points on 7-of-10 shooting off the bench.

Breontae Hunt logged his first double-double of the season leading the team with ten rebounds while scoring fifteen points. Jaheim Holden led all Barton starters scoring fifteen points on 4-of-8 shooting from the floor.

The Cougar scoring remained balanced as Diovonte Caldwell added thirteen points for the second consecutive game. Desean Munson finished just shy of a perfect shooting night converting 6-of-7 from the floor adding twelve points to go along with six rebounds. Demarcus Morris rounded out the double figure scoring with eleven points, coming up just a rebound shy of a double-double performance.

The Cougars outscored the Threshers 76-13 off the bench with a forty-six-point advantage on the fast break generated by thirty-four Bethel turnovers

The Threshers ended the contest with three players reaching double digits as Braydon Barber scored sixteen on 12-of-14 shooting from the charity stripe followed by Kevon Green's thirteen and Ike Umeh's ten.

The Cougars next will play a pair of contests in the Blue Dragon Classic at the Hutchinson Sports Arena with 3:30 p.m. tip-offs, taking on Labette Community College (2-0) on Friday before Saturday's tilt against Murray State College (2-1).
