The Barton Community College men's basketball hung around with the No. 2 team in the nation but a second half barrage from beyond the arc doomed the Cougars in falling 107-80 to Indian Hills Community College in Ottumwa, Iowa, Friday night. Barton held the Warriors to 2-of-17 first half long-range shooting but Indian Hills lit up the Cougar zone in the second half making 11-of-20 from long range. With their second straight loss, Barton falls to 6-3 on the season while Indian Hills remains perfect at 6-0. The Cougars will wrap up play in the Bowling RV Classic on Saturday in taking on 3-3 Marshalltown Community College at 4:30 p.m.
Tyler Corley led three Cougars in double-figures with twenty-points. Isaac Williams, who knocked down four three-pointers on the night, scored eighteen while Darrylyn Johnson scored eleven.
Marcus Posley's four second-half treys led five Warriors in double-digits with eighteen. Roosevelt Scott scored fifteen while Quevyn Winters, Lester Medford, and Malik Dime each contributed ten each.
