Scoring drought dooms No. 25 Cougars at the Power Plant

Unable to score a field goal in the game’s final seven minutes, the No. 25 ranked Barton Community College men’s basketball team fell 61-57 to Butler Community College. A devastating blow to Barton’s hopes of earning a top two seed in the region, the Cougars drop to 8-4 and 21-5 overall while Butler moves to within a half game of the Cougars for the third spot at 7-4 and 19-6 overall. Barton will next play the conference leader and nationally ranked Hutchinson Community College on Wednesday as the Cougars will wrap up its four-game seven-day brutal stretch of the schedule. Game time is set for 7:30 p.m. at the Barton Gym.
