The nation's top ranked Madden 21 player Davon Morris got back on track this past week with the Barton Community College Rainbow 6 Siege team leading the esports program's week five results.

Upset in the first of two games last week in Madden 21, Morris retained his top billing into this week, backing it up with a pair of convincing 56-14 and 34-3 victories over 6th ranked Hinds Community College.

Two of Barton's Madden 21 players made a big jump in the rankings this past week. Corey Hale, who jumped twenty spots to 11th this week, ran into a buzz saw on the field to 14th ranked Navarro College 38-0 and 16-0. Brayden Clare leaped up nineteen sports to No. 13 but had his games against No. 18 Hinds rescheduled to this Tuesday. Not playing last week causing an eleven spot drop in the polls, 28th ranked Anthony Twiggs picked up a forfeit win over No. 37 Garden City Community College.

A disappointing loss came for the 11th ranked Rocket League team, having their three-match win streak snapped in suffering a 4-1 defeat to 25th ranked Grays Harbor College. Grays jumped out to a three game lead behind 7-0, 8-2, and 3-2 victories with the Cougars taking game four 3-2 before Grays put the final touches on the match with a 2-1 win.

The 11th ranked Rainbow 6 Siege team avenged its lone loss of the season, tying 8th ranked Peninsula College to keep the Cougars playoff hopes alive with three weeks left in the season in moving to 1-1-3 on the year.

Barton's Super Smash Brothers duo had its second consecutive rough week as 44th ranked Landon Robl lost 4-2 to No. 43 John Wood Community College while 118th ranked Bryce Boltman lost 4-2 to No. 156 Crowder College.

The Cougars' Fortnite crews of Trent Keffer and Elijah Payne did not compete this week.
