Bio

Zach Dobbins is in his first season as assistant coach of the Barton Baseball program.  With primary responsibilities of coaching the outfielders and as the first base coach, Dobbins is also in charge of taking care of Lawson-Biggs Field and the Baseball facility.

An All-State player from Lyons High School in Lyons, Kansas, Dobbins went on to play outfield at Hutchinson Community College during the 2002-03 season before moving on to Brown Mackie College where injury sideline his career during the 2004-05 season.

Dobbins has also spent time coaching various levels of teams including most recently coaching both a high school showcase team, as well as, an IIU team in Tyler, Texas, prior to his arrival to Barton.

Finishing up his academics at Wichita State University, Dobbins graduated in 2009 with a Bachelor degree in Sport Management.
