First year at Barton:

Tyler split time between first base and the designated hitter spot for Barton, making 41 starts and appearing in 43 games. He hit .328 from the plate along with 2 homers and 25 runs batted in. Tyler had a perfect fielding percentage of 1.000. 

High School/Club:

Tyler attended Wamego High School where he was a shortstop and second baseman. He started for 3 years and lettered all 4 seasons. During his senior campaign, he hit .425, smacking 4 homeruns and driving in 36 runs. Tyler was also 4 for 4 on stolen base attempts to go along with a fielding percentage of .992. He helped Wamego with NCKL championships in 2003, 2004, and 2005. Tyler was recognized as All-League his junior and senior season, along with 1st team All-State and Team MVP his senior year. Tyler also lettered in football for 3 years and basketball for 2 years.
