High School/Club:
Andrew attended Hays High School where he lettered and started for 3 seasons as a second baseman and pitcher. During his senior campaign he hit .486 from the plate with 4 homers and 26 RBI's. He stole 22 bases on 24 attempts and had a perfect fielding percentage. Andrew also recorded 56 strikeouts and compiled a 1.79 ERA on the mound. He would go on to earn 1st team All State and 1st team All WAC honors as a junior and senior, along with the WAC MVP award as a senior. Andrew also lettered for 3 years in football.
