High School/Club:

David started for 2 years and lettered for 3 while at Larned High School. Working primarily as a pitcher, David earned a 6-1 record with a 3.50 ERA, along with a .300 batting average as a senior. He helped Larned to a league title that year, along with earning All-League Pitcher honors. David also lettered in cross county for 4 years and wrestling for 4 years at Larned High.
