First year at Barton:
Wade played in 26 games, starting 22 for Barton. He drove in 15 runs along with 1 homerun and batted .306. Wade also recorded a .948 fielding percentage.
High School/Club:
Wade started and lettered two seasons while attending Norfolk Senior High School. As junior he batted .326, smacked 5 homeruns, drove in 22 RBI’s and stole one base. He hit .340 for the American Legion summer team, hit 6 homeruns, drove in 33 RBI’s and stole 9 bases. Wade participated in the League All Star Game, playing for the West.
